What We Do
Adult Service Providers, along with Middle and High School students, will accompany deaf and hard-of-hearing elementary students as they intermingle while enjoying a fun-filled day of events. Sack race, bean bag toss, a parachute play area, face painting and more will be enjoyed. Students can visit the thank-you table and make cards to thank volunteers and donors for their donations. Younger students can gather to listen to or watch as older students read or sign a story. Volunteers will pack up canned goods to donate to the local food bank, while others will gather items for Hearing Dog International, Inc, or help DOVE offer information about their services as a community resource offering support for Deaf women and their children who are in need, and help with promoting positive messages against bullying and Teen Dating Violence, among other related topics.
